Mark Rippetoe has been helping men (and women) get stronger with barbell training for over 30 years. His book,&nbsp;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/aasgaardco.com\/store\/books-posters-dvd\/books\/starting-strength-basic-barbell-training\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Starting Strength<\/a>,&nbsp;<\/em>has become the bible of strength training for hundreds of thousands of individuals.&nbsp;I&#8217;ve been following Mark&#8217;s program for only a few weeks now, and have already gotten significantly stronger by concentrating on just a&nbsp;few basic lifts.<\/p>\n<p>Last month,&nbsp;I&nbsp;made a four-hour drive down I-44 with Jordan Crowder to visit Mark at his gym in Wichita Falls, TX to talk barbell training. In this video Rip discusses why he thinks barbell training should be a part of every man&#8217;s strength training program and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.artofmanliness.com\/articles\/why-barbells-are-better-than-machines\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the benefits that come with barbell training<\/a>. In the coming weeks, we&#8217;ll be posting&nbsp;a series of highly detailed instructional videos taught by Mark Rippetoe himself on how to perform the basic barbell lifts.
