Grab the two strands of cord beneath it, and pull it through the loop to form another loop. Because you have a chain of successive slip knots, it will all just magically unravel without any tangling.<\/p><\/div>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Doubling Up for Longer Cords<\/strong><\/h3>\n<div style=\"width: 510px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/content.artofmanliness.com\/uploads\/\/2013\/04\/doubleup.jpg\" alt=\"Vintage doubling up for longer cords illustration.\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\"\/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">If you have an extension cord that&#8217;s 50 feet or longer, I recommend doubling up your cord. Instead of pulling two strands through your loops, you&#8217;ll have four.
